The DKR-700 is a still image recorder. It uses MD Data discs and it can store 100 to 1000 images depending on the resolution. It can capture color and black and white images on a standard NTSC monitor. Both models capture the image in TIF and JPEG formats.
There appears to be slight variation between the DKR-700 and DKR-700P, as the latter model has a switch on the side to switch between 220V, 230V, or 240V. Video for the DKR-700 is NTSC, whereas the DKR-700P is PAL. This results in the image resolution being slightly different. DKR-700 is 656×496 and DKR-700P is 768×592 for standard quality.
