Brand : Teac/Tascam
Updated version of the MD-H500 and part of the Reference 500 series by TEAC. Main visual changes were a new display panel and slightly different button layout on left side of the deck. It was significantly lighter and lost the built in clock. Some changes to the specifications, mostly in relation to frequency response and signal-to-noise ratio also suggest revised internals although it is not MDLP capable. It also had a different remote control too.
Like its predecessor it could be controlled using a dedicated remote control (RC-725) but when linked to an amp from the same range it can be controlled as part of an overall integrated system using the RC-711. The RC-711 has limited MD controls so the RC-725 is required to access the full range of features.
