The mini component system market in 1998 was 2.7 million units, and the number of MD-equipped machines has grown significantly to 64% of the total number of 1.7 million units. In fiscal 1999, there were 2.55 million MD-equipped aircraft, of which 2.05 million MD-equipped aircraft accounted for 80% of the total, and it is predicted that the composition ratio of MD-equipped aircraft will continue to increase. Along with this, consumer needs for MD-equipped machines are becoming more diverse.
Against this background, we have planned “MX-S5MD” as a simple and casual stylish MD component system for users who demand interior design and space saving. This unit, which has a simple appearance and is easy to coordinate with the interior, proposes a way to enjoy music with the multi-functionality and convenient recording and editing functions unique to a 3-CD changer + 1MD.
