Docking Sharp NetMD recorder. IM-DR80H-S - Silver, IM-DR80H-R - Red, IM-DR80H-B - Black See also Kenwood DMC-S9NET. There may have been a IM-DR580H model as well.
The portable portion seems to act more like a player, with only a Mic in and headphone/remote jack located on the unit itself. The line in and USB ports are only located on the dock, so the idea was probably to dock it at home and use it in a HiFi setup and record into it, with the portable then being used as a player only on the go, with a mic in for field recording.
Prototype shown at IFA Berlin 2003.
The dock has line out (and speaker) and line/optical in. The unit only has a mic in and headphone out. (NiMH gumstick)
